My Thoughts

Part memoir; part self-help; full joy – this is the perfect description of Chasing the Bright Side. Jess is a breath of fresh air, and reading her book is like chatting with a friend at happy hour. The writing is very honest, but perfectly balanced with a light and fun atmosphere. The experiences Jess shares from here life are equal parts inspirational and hilarious.

Who is this book for? I wondered this before I started reading Chasing the Bright Side; I was concerned that it would be purely entrepreneurial, and I wouldn’t fully classify myself as an entrepreneur (which, should I? A question for another time) and am not particularly looking for advice on starting a business. Fortunately, this is a book for anyone – anyone with a dream, anyone looking to be entertained and fascinated by the utter hustle of a successful woman, anyone looking for inspiration in everyday life, anyone striving for optimism!

I enjoyed this book so much more than I was expecting – for the most part because of the candid, honest writing and very engaging stories. There’s so much good stuff packed in to Chasing the Bright Side that meets you at whatever stage you’re in. I highly recommend it as both a great self-help book and a palette-cleansing, entertaining read.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my thoughts on Chasing the Bright Side. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the book in the comments or at my Instagram, @bookmarkedbya!
