The days of sweltering heat are largely behind us, friends! I can see the sweaters and crisp mornings ahead, and I am SO excited. This quarter was a good one for me, filled with lots of new releases and some fantastic back-list titles. My reading slowed down a little, which is okay! I have no data to back this up, but I have a feeling that the cooler months are going to be the most productive for me, reading-wise. I had a great Q3 and I’m so excited to jump into the coziness of Q4!Continue reading “Quarterly Roundup: July-Sep ’19”
September is one of my favorite months – my anniversary, the first full month of college football, the start of fall, AND filled with amazing new releases. So many great books are coming out this month, so I must share my most anticipated with you!Continue reading “September Releases You Can’t Miss”
Sorry to break it to you, but summer is quickly dwindling. While this does mean we’ll be packing away our bikinis and cutoffs, it doesn’t mean we have to pack away summer’s hottest reads that we didn’t get to. Keep the feeling of summer going through Thanksgiving with these fun, hot books that made the season’s best-seller lists!Continue reading “Summer Favorites to Read this Fall”
We did it, y’all – we’re officially through the first half of the year! I’ve now had my Bookstagram account (@bookmarkedbya) for six whole months, and it has utterly skyrocketed my reading productivity and the quality of the books that I’m reading. Another thing that’s changed during this quarter – I started receiving advanced reader copies of books from publishers, so I’ve spent a lot more time on new releases than in the past. I’m loving it all, the old and the new, and can’t wait to see what Q3 brings!Continue reading “Quarterly Roundup: Apr-Jun ’19”
I’m officially kicking off this recurring series – Quarterly Roundup! -, within which I’ll share some interesting stats, as well as all of my reads for the previous quarter, organized from my favorite to least favorite! I read a lot and have no allusions that you read every one of my blog posts (but you totally should), so let’s just make it easy for everyone to help you find the best books out there!Continue reading “Quarterly Roundup: Jan-Mar ’19”
I’m on Instagram! Well, I’ve always been on Instagram, but I’ve recently created a new account to share my current reads, snippets of the reviews you find here, and other book-related fun. I love this platform and the ability it gives me to be in-depth with my reviews, but what I love about Instagram is that it provides a convenient space for discussion.Continue reading “Instagram: @bookmarkedbya”
I wanted to share with you books that I’ve read in the past – pre-blog, if you will – and loved, or didn’t love. They’re surely worth mentioning and sharing with you, even though I won’t be writing blog posts on them.Continue reading “Pre-Blog Roundup”
Happy 2019, my friends! 2018 was the year that I fell back in love with reading – and read, I did – approximately 22 books this past year. I know this isn’t an astronomical number, but I’m proud of it because a) it beats the ~4 books I’ve averaged for the past several years and b) all but one were read in the second half of the year. While many of the books I read in 2018 are reviewed on this blog, I wanted to give you an at-a-glance . I’ve organized them from my favorite to least favorite.Continue reading “2018 Year in Review”
